Who has fond memories of being awarded those fun blog awards back in the day?
I know I do. When I first started blogging, I feel like they were so popular. Receiving one made me feel so cool in fact that I had a place for them on my side bar. Ya know, so all my readers could see how awesome people think I am. ;)
While I don't showcase them anymore, I still get excited when a sweet blog friend nominates me for one.
What was your best Halloween costume?
As a kid, my favorite was Pippi Longstocking. My mom even put a wire hanger through my braids so that my hair stood out to the side like hers. :) I know I have a picture for evidence somewhere, but I can't find it right now. I'll have to dig it up for you.
As an adult, my favorite was an oompa loompa. The job I had at the time made a BIG deal out of Halloween. Each group did a themed costume. So, our leader was Willy Wonka and all of us were oompa loompas. We even made a "chocolate river" and everything. Such a fun day!
What is your favorite Thanksgiving side dish?
Definitely the mashed potatoes. My mom's are THE best. So creamy and yummy. Loaded with butter and salt and pepper. Mmm, I could eat a whole tub of 'em if given the opportunity.
What has been your most memorable holiday?
I would say that the first Christmas that Nate and I were together. My parents met his parents and it just meant so much to me.
What is your favorite holiday?
Christmas, hands down. I love the holiday spirit I get into. I love to give and the holiday season makes me want to give more. I love to shop. I love Christmas music. I love cozy PJs and blankets. I love it all!
What is your favorite Christmas album?
Last year, I bought Michael Buble's Christmas album, and I'm kinda in love with it. Can't wait to start listening again SOON! ;)
What is your favorite Christmas tradition?
We don't have a TON of traditions in my family. My sister and I will usually go shopping for stocking stuffers on Christmas Eve. When we were kids, my parents always let us open one gift on Christmas Eve night. Of course they were always Christmas PJs for us to wear that night. ;) And every morning, my dad is the one who plays "Santa" and passes the gifts around the tree. and if it snows (which is rare here in Texas) my sister and I go out and play in it like little kids who are seeing snow for the first time. So, I don't know. Maybe we do have some traditions??
What is the #1 item on your Christmas list this year?
The first thing that popped into my head is a new vacuum. Whoa. I think that means I'm officially old. ;) But, I'd LOVE a new computer. Mine is tired.
