31 Days: Random Acts of Kindness

Last night on Twitter, I saw people talking about the 31 Days challenge. I was immediately curious, and I started doing my research.

I found the blog, Nesting Place, and learned that she's been doing this for years now, and it's been super successful. I got excited thinking about how this will inspire me to write, keep me motivated, and help me find other fabulous bloggers to connect with.

Yesterday, I mentioned that this past weekend, my best friend and I did a "Make The Homeless Smile" project. If you don't feel like clicking over to that post, I'll tell you in a nutshell what we did. We stuffed bags with a bottle of water, a granola bar and a piece of fruit. We put an inspirational quote on the outside of the bag. And then, we drove around Dallas and passed them out to the less fortunate. It was very humbling, and it made our hearts feel so good to help others.

So, here I am. I'm doing this! My 31 days will consist of me doing random acts of kindness.

Today, I am telling you my plan. Today I will also perform a random act of kindness, and you will learn about it tomorrow. So basically, each day I will be blogging about what I did the day before.

I hope this will help me learn to be more grateful. I hope it will teach me to be creative. I hope it will let me put a smile on others' faces. And, I hope it will inspire you to do the same for others. I'm excited for this month, and I hope you're excited to follow along! :)

What an amazing idea! There's almost nothing better than knowing you're going to be helping someone out, or that you're going to be an unexpected bright spot in someone's day. If that isn't enough of a good feeling to make you do a random act, I don't know what is.
