31 Days: Days 16-20 Recap

Guys, I have been a total slacker on my 31Days challenge. I have not been blogging every single day like I originally vowed to do.

But, have no fear! I have still been completing my random acts of kindness.

Let me go ahead and get you caught up!

October 16th - I sent a Cup of Joe. I got this idea from Holly. What you do is purchase a cup of coffee and it is delivered, along with your letter, to a military service member. I mean, really? it's the LEAST I can do for the men and women who serve to protect my freedom. What really made my day? I got a return email from the solider who received my cup of coffee. :)

He said, "Amber, Thank you so much for donating a cup 'o joe to me. It's the small things that remind me of home. Thank you again for the cup 'o joe! Serving from Kabul Afghanistan, Jason Shirley."

So awesome. So, if you have an extra $2, I urge you to send a Cup of Joe. It's a great service!

October 17th - There's nothing more annoying than trying to come out of a parking lot and no one will let you in. The traffic never stops. So, as I was approaching a red light, I noticed a car that was sitting there for quite some time and no one let him in. I stopped to give him space to go ahead and get on the road in front of me. He sure looked relieved and waved to say thank you. It didn't take any time out of my day to make his!

October 18th - I participated in a mug swap and had two partners. The requirements was only to send a mug to my partner. Well, I included a surprise gift in my packages. :) A little something extra to make the girls smile. I'd tell you guys, but the reveal hasn't happened yet and I don't want them to read it on my blog before they get their package!

October 19th - I helped to orchestrate a surprise birthday dinner for my BFF along with her fiance. She has never had a surprise party before, and we knew it'd be something she'd just DIE from excitement with. We were right. She had the biggest smile on her face, and I just knew she was going to cry but she ended up holding it together. ;) Nothing like putting a smile on your BFF's face, especially for her birthday.

October 20th - I sent a shirt that I was previously trying to sell on instagram to Stephanie because she had expressed interest in it and liked it. She had a really crappy weekend and I thought she deserved a little something to cheer her up. So, you should go give her some love too!

I have done the Soldiers Angel program for several years now and I can't agree with you more on how good it feels to get a quick note back from them. I've had lots that I never hear from and its sometimes hard to stay faithful to the commitment....but its for them and their sacrifices. Good job on keeping up with your acts of kindness!!!

I haven't kept up with blogging every day either, Amber! It's hard! Don't worry, I won't send the blog police after you! Haha :) I also kinda like having this resource, every now and then, with a few of your deeds in one place to browse through. So I say no harm, no foul! Also I'm loving the Cup of Joe idea! I hadn't heard of that one! Might have to try it out!
