...the day that I begin the 24 day Advocare challenge.
If I'm being honest, I'm terrified. But so excited at the same time.
I'm terrified of failing. Terrified of not being able to complete the challenge. Terrified of being labeled a quitter.
In all honesty, I'm nervous to give up coffee. (but I've already tried Spark, and know it'll work wonders!) I'm nervous about my sweet tooth that normally sneaks up on me most nights after dinner. I'm worried about the glass of wine I know I'll crave.
But I'm excited for the possible results. Excited for the chance to cleanse my body. Excited for the chance to learn how to eat "clean".
I've seen so many people rave about Advocare, but I was always skeptical. I'm not one to jump on a bandwagon. I need to see proof first. When Nate's best friend and his wife did the challenge earlier this year and I saw for myself what it did for them, and how passionate they were about Advocare, I knew it was something worth giving a shot.
I did all of my measurements today, and I'm not going to allow myself to step on a scale again at least until after the cleanse phase is over.
They're doing the challenge again starting today, and I decided to do it right along with them. It'll be great having support since they'll be doing the same thing as me. I have faith that I'll do this the right way. For the price, if you don't do it, you'll only be mad at yourself at the end at the money wasted.
Also, if you're considering the 24 day challenge and are hesitant because of the price - it helped me to look at it this way. When you break it down, it's less than $8 a day. That's what most people spend grabbing lunch. Half of that is your morning coffee at Starbucks, or a soda pick me up on the way home from work. Just think that you're probably already spending close to $200 in 24 days on your own anyway. Why not do something that will make you feel good with that money??
I went on a produce shopping spree yesterday, came home and chopped, sliced and separated veggies and fruits. I cooked enough chicken for my salads at lunch at work each day. I set aside baggies of almonds, apples, etc for snacks. I'm prepared. I'm taking this head on, and I can't wait to see the results!
I'll definitely keep you guys posted.
Have a great day! :)
