Yesterday, March 3rd, was what I like to call Binky's "adopt-iversary".
One year ago, Nate and I were randomly browsing Petco, like we sometimes did even though we didn't have any pets. We saw Binky and it was love at first sight. As soon as the woman put him in my arms, I didn't want another dog. I knew I wanted to bring him home with me.
So it was then, that I adopted my first pet and introduced all of you to him.
We had a hard time at first getting him adjusted to us. He had some dental problems, and I had to shell out a pretty penny for him to have surgery.
After he was all healed from that though, it didn't take long before he warmed up to us and he loved us.
He's the sweetest dog ever, and I can't imagine nights cuddled up on the couch without him now.
We've had our fair share of ups and downs with him. He gave me quite the scare when he got a stick stuck in his throat, he fell and hit his head on the concrete, he was included in our Christmas card pictures, and he even modeled for some pictures for my photog friend. ;)
Here is he last night on his adoptiversary looking quite unimpressed that I have a camera in his face when it's obvious he's napping. ;)
I know this post makes me sound/look like a total crazy dog mom, but I just love my sweet boy.
