For the longest time, I've heard about people curling their hair with their CHI flat iron. I didn't understand for the longest time. I thought we were supposed to use it to straighten our hair, not curl it.
So, I did some research and people claim that it holds your curl much longer and it's actually easier. I had tried and tried on my own without any success.
Sooo, one day when I met Meg last summer I was crying about how her hair is always beautiful and mine looks like a rat's nest most days.
Well, because Meg is a rockstar she did a video tutorial on how to curl your hair with a CHI. You've gotta check it out if you wanna learn. She's awesome and way better than anything you'll find on YouTube.
Well after I had practiced and given up, many times I finally decided that I was going to try again. I wanted to perfect this look by myself! I needed to do more with my hair than just put it in a bun every day.
So, when I was laying on my couch all week from kidney stones, I decided to use some of the down time to play around my hair for a bit.
I was very happy about the way my hair looked on the left side of my head. It was so pretty, and I wanted to leave it like that all day.
But wait, I guess I should go ahead and curl the other side too. Ya know, so I don't look too ridiculous.
After practicing a bit more, I text this pic to Meg to see what I was doing wrong. I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to get the right side of my head curly! And I was a mad house.
After watching and re-watching (I'm kinda creepy) her video, I realized that I wasn't holding the flat iron right when I was on the other side of my head.
So, I switched that baby around, and was able to curl my whole head. I was SO happy. :) It's the little things people.
I then sent Meg the final product picture, and I got the Meg O. on the Go approval! ;)
Now, if I can do this, then ANYONE can. No seriously. I hate when people say that, but this is an instance in which is actually applies.
So, go get to watching her tutorial (which I linked above) and teach yourself to make your head look pretty like mine. :)
