Isn't it nice going back to work on a Tuesday?! I think that 3 day weekends should totally be mandatory, just sayin'!
Linking up with Dana, Leeann and Sami is quickly becoming one of my faves. I think it's a great way to find new blogs, and update your readers/friends on your fun weekend activities.
It was a half day at work for me (my DR was out of town! :)) so after work I headed home to grab my bag and Bink and head to see Nate.
He had to work that afternoon, so while he was working, I caught up on Pretty Little Liars on Netflix. I'm way behind, so don't even think about spoiling it for me. ;)
When he got home, I had dinner ready for us. I made cheddar garlic chicken, mac & cheese and green beans. No, I didn't get a picture. Which is incredibly unusual of me.
It was a pretty low-key night. We just watched some baseball and enjoyed the night in.
Nate and I woke up early, as usual. I made us coffee and strawberry muffins for breakfast.
I was out in the living room reading, and he came out and said he wanted to rearrange his room. When I moved out of my apartment, he took a bookshelf off my hands so we didn't have to fit something else into storage.
Soooo, we spent all day Saturday organizing, throwing away, and rearranging his room. We only stopped for a lunch break of tuna sandwiches.
His room looks real good now, and looks like there's a lot more room now. I even have my own nightstand now. ;)
Later that night, the Texas Tech (Nate's alma mater) was playing their first football game of the season, and the station it was playing on Nate doesn't get with his cable package.
So, we got ready and headed down the street to BWW to have some dinner and take in the game.
Wings and football. This is now what my weekend life will consist of for the next couple of months.
While there, I was scrolling through my IG feed, and realized it was the beginning of the month, and the new photo a day challenge was starting. I hadn't done it in a couple of months, and decided I wanted to try again. So, let's hope I can finish this one!
The first photo prompt was "me" - I like to be silly. ;)
Nate had to work early that morning, so I was headed home to spend the day with my BFF doing "best friend" things.
That's what I like to call it anyway.
But before I headed home, I just HAD to make a pit stop at Starby's for a pumpkin spice latte.
It was 90 degrees out, and I had a hot coffee. I don't know what in the world I was thinking.
It was however, perfection in a cup. I was super excited. I love pumpkin flavor.
A lot of people on twitter and IG seemed surprised I already got one, but let me tell you - Starbucks doesn't have it on the menu yet, but they totally have the ingredients to make one. Go ahead and ask for one, I'm SURE they'll grant your wish. ;)
You can thank me later.
Jill and I headed off to our fave place to eat lunch, went and had ice cream at Baskin Robbins and we were off to the dollar movie theater. We love this place. How can you beat a $1.25 price for a movie?
Magic Mike was showing, and we were all about it.
Not sure how I waited so long that it was in the dollar theater, but I did. I'm glad I saw it.
WHEW!!! That's all I'll say about that. ;)
We headed to hang out with my sister later that night. We ordered pizza, had some beers and played dominoes. It was quite fun, and yes, I kicked domino ass.
Ahhh, I actually slept in. It felt so nice. Although, my alarm did go off at 7 am because I have it set for weekdays and forgot to turn it off Sunday night. Oops! Luckily, I was able to fall right back to sleep.
I made a Starbucks run for the fam, and we headed to see them for a little Labor Day cookout.
Nate come over after work, and we all watched the baseball game while munching on burgers and hot dogs. How's that for American for ya??
I rode with Jill to pick up her daughter (who was with her dad for the weekend) and it is quite a drive, so I had to kick back and relax.
I've read a chapter of coursework in my Biology class, and now I'm trying to figure out blog posts to schedule. I'm still in a bit of a funk, and am at a loss for post ideas.
