Go for the Goal: May Recap

It's time to face the music and own up to how horribly I did on my May goals. Seriously y'all, this is bad. I'm blogging about it so I know not to mess up this bad on my future goals.

G0 For The Goal
Read 5 books - This didn't happen. I read 4, so I guess that's better than none. I read Sweet Little Lies and the 50 Shades trilogy, but I haven't blogged my review on those yet. I'm hoping to get that done this week! Be on the lookout for that.

Knock one thing off my 101 in 1001 list - I semi did this. I started to answer the "50 Questions That Will Free Your Mind". I have been posting 10 question and answers each Tuesday here on the blog.

Lose 5 pounds -  This definitely didn't happen. But, I didn't gain either. I'd call that a win. I did join a gym, and had my first personal training session this past Monday, so hopefully this will keep me in check. I just don't have a lot of discipline on my own.

Quit soda altogether - Not altogether, but for the most part. I drink water and coffee all day like it's my job. When I go out to eat, I usually get water but every now and then I'll get a Coke Zero or a Diet DP. It's just a "little treat" I guess.

Work out 3-4 times a week - When I got real sick at the beginning of the month, I was working out consistently at my apartment gym. However, I didn't work out the whole week that I was stuck at home sick, and it's super hard to get back on track with that. I know, that's a horrible excuse, but it's true.

No mani/pedis - I did have a mani/pedi, but my best friend treated me to it, I didn't pay myself. So, this is a win. ;)

Make coffee at home - Still sucking at this one. I haven't been to Starbucks as often, but I haven't really been making my coffee at home each morning either. I think I just need to find one I really like!

How did you guys do this month with your goals?

Girl, you didn't do terrible! I need to start setting goals like this, especially since I want to be debt-free and 40lbs down by the end of the year. We shall see!

Happy Wednesday!

I'm a coffee fanatic. My top three at home brews are The Fresh Market Medium Roast, Kahlua Original Blend, and Folger's Lively Columbian.

It helps that I got a Keurig for Chrismas. It's so easy.

Not buying coffee out is a big challenge for me. And I think you did pretty darn good this month. You'll knock those five pounds off in no time!

I would say you did pretty good!! Making coffee at home was a huge thing for me... But it gets pretty easy and I've trained myself to enjoy it more :)

I really want to lose 5 lbs too. Do you want to have a weekly swim laps or run/walk session together? Maybe if we schedule it and do it together we can help each other :) And NOT go to Chuys after!

I think you did a great job with your goals! It's tough to tackle one or two, let alone this many :)

4 books in one month is still pretty darn impressive!

Have you tried buying Starbucks coffee at the grocery store and brewing it at home? That's what I do and I like it!

Don't get down on yourself about the soft drinks, I have to have one every now and then too!
