It's OK..

..to cringe when people call you "ma'am" - it makes me feel old

..to also cringe when you realize that the next time you have to renew your driver's license you'll be 30!

..to crave a Pure Barre class

..to plan meals from Pinterest

..to be overly excited about the owl print scrub top you saw & need to buy it asap

..to feel like you scored when you get a book for less than $5 on your kindle, but wonder if it'll be good or not since it's so cheap

..to kick yourself for not pre-ordering the iPhone when it was $99 - now it's up to $500, ahhh!

..to move funds from your savings to your checking every now and then

..to refrain from taking a nap on a Sunday afternoon because you know you won't sleep that night if you do

..to despise Facebook these days

..to wish working out/taking workout classes were MUCH more cheaper

..to delete emails from your favorite stores websites before opening them so you don't have to see the awesome deal & feel the need to spend your money

..to love that your best friend works at a makeup counter in the mall, that means playing with makeup when you go visit her

..to already be making up your Christmas list.. you never know who may ask for it! :)

..to debate on getting a credit card just to get a Macbook

What I'm Loving Wednesday!

It's been a couple of weeks since I linked up with Jamie for WILW, so here we go!


I'm LOVING.. when I'm caught up on homework. It makes my life/week SO much easier.

I'm LOVING.. these girls. Seriously, BFFs fo' life!


I'm LOVING.. my sweet family. Getting together for family dinners makes me so happy, and I love it even more when Nate comes along. They adore him!

I'm LOVING.. the time spent with my bestie this past week for her birthday! Sprinkles anyone?


I'm LOVING.. that my other bestie's daughter's first birthday is coming up! She's SUCH a sweetie.

I'm LOVING.. that when I stay at Nate's & I go to bed before him, he tucks me in and turns on a nightlight.. Awww!

Lubbock Football Recap

So, remember when I went to Lubbock 2 weekends ago to partake in the football game against A&M?

Yeah, I'm just now recapping that weekend with you guys. ;) I guess I've had so many other things to talk about!

It started out with my half day on Friday, and Nate & I driving to Ft. Worth to pick up our friends Tim & Sarah. Then the roadtrip could begin!

We finally made it into Lubbock around 10pm, and after stopping at the hotel to drop our things off, we headed out to Nate's friends' place for a few beers.

We were up BRIGHT & EARLY on Saturday morning to go get some new Tech gear. The idea was for everyone to "black out" the stadium. So off we went to get new black shirts for the game. :)

Afterwards, we made a pit stop to pick up our friend Ryan, then we headed to Starbucks to surprise their friend Rachel, who I'd never met! So it was nice to meet another one from their group. :)

We headed to lunch at some random bar that was showing the UT/OU game before driving out to tailgate.

Sarah and I found the smallest, cutest little cart that was perfect for us!


While the boys were playing in the beer aisle, Sarah and I decided to play in the Halloween aisle.

After walking 500 miles to finally get to the stadium, we made it in the gates.

Can I just say how amazing it was to finally experience a true college football game? And to experience it with Nate who is so incredibly passionate about his school was more than I could've asked for!

After the game, we headed to Taco Villa as per my request. :) I LOVE that place, and it's a must any time I'm in LBK.

While we were there, Sarah and I noticed something quite disturbing..

Yes, the bathroom had 2 toilets, but no separations..

Although Texas Tech lost, I stepped in mud on the walk back to the car, and it was freezing cold at night, we had a blast. I can't wait to go back for another game! :)

Birchbox: Month 3

This week, I'm reviewing One Day by David Nicholls. This seemed to be a book that a lot of people had read, so I decided to download it and give it a try..

I'm sorry to inform you all that I HATED this book. Seriously, it took me forever to read. It was SO slow, and didn't have any super exciting parts that got me hooked and wanting more.

I wouldn't recommend this book. How did you feel about this book if you've read it?

It's OK..

..to try and reduce your road rage, but then when someone LAYS on their horn at you, all sorts of swear words fly outta your mouth like a second language, oops!

..to be a little too excited about the fact that Wal-Mart brought back layaway

..to only give +K late at night so I don't blow up people's timeline & get unfollowed

..to write things in your planner after you've already done them ;)

..to wish you were crafty enough to make stuff and sell it

..to have just now learned how to properly make coffee

..to swear that your face wash is what's actually causing you to break out

..to be bound and determined to gain more mayorships on Foursquare

..to sometimes stay up a little too late because well, there's just not enough hours in the day to do all that I want to do

..to have almost vomited from nerves while doing a presentation in front of my Spanish class. I have no problem speaking in front of large groups, but in a different language? That's a whole 'nother ballgame!

..to be incredibly happy that you're finally able to turn off the A/C in your apartment

..to feel proud of yourself for producing actual blog posts instead of a straight week of link-ups

..to scour the internet for coupon codes before you order anything

..to sell old magazines to Half Priced Books.. easy money!

..to know that you have no life because you've reached level 78 in coin dozer.

Friends, Dallas & Blogging

The three topics in my post all fit together perfectly!

Today, I'm going to get a little mushy wooshy on y'all. I wanna spread some love to my Dallas blog girls. I feel so lucky to be able to call them some of my best friends.

Yes, I did stalk your FB for pics ;)

Neely was actually the first blogger that I ever met in person. I'd been following her blog for a couple of months, and we decided to meet up before the DBM. We clicked instantly, although we had a horrible dinner experience. *Disclaimer: Don't ever eat at Alma in Dallas on Henderson and 75. YUCK!

When the DBM came, Laura, whose blog I found because of the meetup, and I decided to meet up for drinks before dinner with all the other girls. We chatted about our love lives like we'd been friends forever!

Luckily, Kiley, who I've been following SINCE I started blogging (thanks 20sb!), was meeting up with us too. It was SO much fun getting to know these girls!

After the meetup, we all decided that we'd continue to hang out since we all live here. Great idea, right?

I have had some of THE best times with these ladies.

We go out for dinner at least once a month. Tex-mex anyone?


We work out together. Kiley & I recently joined Neely at Pure Barre.

We drunk vlog together.

We buy each other drinks.

Sorry Neely, I HAD to! ;)

We plan to have Christmas parties with each other.

We double/triple/quadruple date.


We drink wine together.


We give each other rides.

We try new restaurants together.


We attend each other's birthday parties.



We go shopping together.

We hang out with other bloggers.


We forget to take pictures sometimes.. seriously Laura, where are you when the camera is around?!

Girls, I love y'all so much, would do anything for y'all and am SO happy we are all such great friends. Thanks be to blogging! :)

I'm feelin' the LOVE!

In the past month, I received some blog awards from some very generous girls!

Sadly, I'm very behind on blogging about them, so hopefully they'll still remember that they sent them my way. ;)

Random fact #1: I didn't like ANY Mexican food until about 3 or 4 years ago. Seriously y'all, I wouldn't touch the stuff. Now, I crave it and eat it more than once a week. So, I guess what they say is true - your tastebuds do change over time.

Random fact #2: I'm easily distracted. ADD, much? I got on the computer 2 hours ago to write this post. Instead of knocking it out, I played on twitter (addict!) and gave out +K.

Random fact #3: It really bothers me that I'm only to list 3 random facts, but since I have to give it to 5 bloggers, 3+5=8 and that makes it all okay again. :) #oddnumberssuck

Fact #1: One of my most favorite things about blogging is all the free stuff I've gotten from giveaways. True story ;)

Fact #2: However, my numero uno all time favorite thing about blogging is the friendships I've made. As corny as it sounds, it amazes me everyday how I'd never have met some of the greatest people I know if I hadn't started blogging.

Fact #3: I procrastinate waaay too much, especially when it comes to my school work. For example, one of my classes is online, and I usually don't submit my discussion topics until the day before they are due.

Fact #4: If it were socially acceptable to listen to Christmas music year 'round, I'd have Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas is You" on repeat. all. freakin. year. long.

Fact #5: I do my fair share of complaining, but I seriously want to dropkick some of the Twitterers who do nothing BUT complain. Is your life seriously THAT bad? Shut it.

Fact #6: I feel the need to always have someone I know close by. I've never lived in an apartment complex if I didn't know someone who already lived there. I always say it'd be fun to up and move somewhere where I don't know anyone, but in all reality, I'd never be able to handle having NO ONE close to me.

Fact #7: I really wish I would've just used the first 3 facts from the first award listed so that way I wouldn't have had to think so hard on this one. ;)
