Book Club Friday #1

Today is my first time to link up with my fave for her weekly Book Club link-up.

I have a feeling that I will be joining a lot more now that I have my kindle to keep me company. :)

This week I'm sharing The Secret Life of CeeCee Wilkes by Diane Chamberlain

I had seen a lot of people talking about it and saying how good it was, so on Saturday morning when I asked what I should download on my Kindle and Brittan suggested this book, I decided it was time to look into it.

It sounded really interesting and it was only $5.40. SOLD!

I don't remember the last time that I flew through a book so fast. It was THAT good people.

Here's the description given by Good Reads:

In 1977, pregnant Genevieve Russell disappeared. Twenty years later, her remains are discovered and Timothy Gleason is charged with murder. But there is no sign of the unborn child.
CeeCee Wilkes knows how Genevieve Russell died, because she was there. And she also knows what happened to the missing infant, because two decades ago she made the devastating choice to raise the baby as her own. Now Timothy Gleason is facing the death penalty, and she has another choice to make. Tell the truth, and destroy her family. Or let an innocent man die in order to protect a lifetime of lies…

I kinda feel like they tell more than they should on the "back of the book", but there is still plenty to catch your attention. It kept me wanting more and more, and at night I couldn't just read one or two chapters before bed. I just kept turning the page!

Have you read this book before or any others by the same author?

I looked at this the last time I was at the bookstore. The title seemed so familiar, like somebody had talked about it recently. Maybe that was you!
