1. What is your favorite dessert?
I am obsessed with cheesecake. Specifically strawberry or raspberry cheesecake. Seriously, who doesn't love it? It makes me wanna sit around my kitchen table with my best friends like The Golden Girls. :)
2. Ever tried to cook something and failed miserably?
I'm actually a pretty good cook. People love when I cook for them. :) Buuuut, I did try a crockpot recipe once that sounded really good, and I was all excited about it until it was finished and it looked like a disgusting mess.
3. Is there a dish you haven't made yet but really want to?
My mom's side of the family is Italian, and they have this famous lasagna recipe. It's seriously like heaven in your mouth! I really want to try to make it, but I'm afraid to screw up royally and the taste be ruined for me.
4. What is your favorite food?
I love italian food. It's my favorite, nationality wise. But I also loooove homecooked meals, like the southern kind. Ya know, chicken fried chicken, mashed potatoes, corn, all those yummy carbs! :)
5. What is your least favorite food?
I am a very picky eater, so there are a lot of LEAST favorites. I can not STAND any type of fish or seafood. Just thinking about it nauseates me. Ugh!
6. Do you have any seasonal meals you like?
Of course who doesn't love stuffing their face on Thanksgiving and Christmas? Moms always make the best meals to make yourself sick on. :)
7. What's your comfort food?
When I'm depressed, chocolate makes me happy, oh and so does peanut butter. :)
8. Chocolate: milk, dark or white?
All of the above! :) Ha, no seriously, white chocolate is my favorite.
It doesn't really tell me how many people I have to tag, so I'll tag 8 since there's 8 questions, and I tag:

I look forward to seeing all of your answers! :)
I'm also a lover of wine. Yum-o.
Now, with those two things being said, let me go about my story.
The BF's best friend/roomie who I call "Robin" is a Grey's fan too. The BF gives him a lot of grief about this because he says it's just a lame, drama filled show about a bunch of doctors who sleep with each other. (how dare he?!)
Last season, Robin had them DVR'd on the box in his room, so I would catch up when I could or if I missed an episode. The BF never let him live this down.
I realized that the DVR at my place, has deleted one of the episodes from the current season that I haven't seen yet. This makes me very unhappy.
So I asked Robin last night, if he was recording this season. He said no he was not. I said, "Come on, I won't tell on you, it'll be our secret." HA! He insisted he had not.
Today, the BF had a rare Saturday morning shift, and I thought to myself, "Perfect time to watch some Grey's on Netflix!"
Robin comes into the living room and watches with me, after a few minutes he admits to me, "By the way, I do have the current season saved on the DVR box in my room."
I was pleased to say the least, and was sworn into secrecy not to tell the BF. Which if it allows me to get what I want, I can keep my mouth shut for as long as I need to. ;)
I think Robin may have told this little white lie in front of the BF because a couple weekends ago, the BF poured me a glass of wine, and when I noticed he had a beer, I said, "Babe, are you not going to pour yourself one?"
He looks at Robin and then back at me, and kinda says quietly, "Yeah later, when we pick out a movie."
Robin gave him so much grief, "Whaaat dude, you're gonna drink wine with her?!"
The BF said quietly enough to where he thought I wouldn't hear, but I did because I have a keen sense of hearing like a dog, "Listen, there are certain things I have to do to live up to my boyfriend duty, and drinking her favorite wine with her is one of those things."
I smiled to myself, and thought, "Awww how sweet!" But then I thought, hmm, should I be flattered and think it's sweet, or weirded out that guys can't even admit this kinda crap to each other?!
It's so funny to me, they are the best of friends, would do anything for each other in a heartbeat, but give each other so much crap at the same time!
I guess that's the difference between boys and girls. My best friends would never judge me or give me grief about watching some dumb boy movie or something with him, they'd support me.
Poor boys, makes me glad I'm a girl! ;)
1. Worst movie ever made..in your opinion?Punch Drunk Love. It pissed me off too that I fell asleep while watching because Adam Sandler is one of my faves! He never makes a bad one. :(
2. A stranger you encounter has toilet paper hanging from their pants..or spinach in their teeth...insert any embarrassing item here...Do you tell them?Ha, no I don't think I would. It that horrible? Oh well!
3. Tell us ONE thing that annoys you. Yes, just one.Wow, just one?! You're killin' me here smalls! Let's see, I absolutely HATE being interrupted when I talk. It's something I expect children to do, but when an adult does it I literally get so annoyed that I want to smack the shit out of someone.
4. What's your biggest beef about the opposite sex in general? (Don't be skurred, we won't rat you out.)
The need to feel macho and act like a hard ass around their dude friends even though they know they are softies around us. ;)
5. Would you donate your eggs/sperm to an infertile couple?
I think if I was done having my own kids, then yes, I would. I feel terrible for people who can't have children who truly want and deserve them. There are so many woman who shouldn't even have the ability to reproduce that have dozens of kids, which is unfair to the women who can't.
6. What's the last book you read?
Vision in White by Nora Roberts. It's the 1st in a 4 part series, and I loved it! On to book number 2 this week, which is Bed of Roses.
On this fabulous Friday, I'm feeling blog festive. I'm participating in all sorts of memes. ;) First up - 5 question Friday!
1. What is your favorite Halloween candy?
Anything fruity, such as twizzlers or starburst. And of course, CHOCOLATE! :)
2. Do you fold your socks?
Being the overly OCD psycho that I am, yes I do fold my socks.
3. What is something that you wish you had been warned about?
That the real world isn't all it's cracked up to be. I should've been told that I needed to quit wishing my teenage years away, and enjoy them and stop trying to grow up so damn fast.
4. What is the most significant difference between you and your significant other?
Oh the list just goes on. He's patient, I'm impatient. He's calm, I'm hyper. He's tall, I'm a midget. I'll go ahead and stop here. We balance one another out perfectly though, so it's all good. ;)
5. What are three words you would use to describe yourself? (And, just for fun...if your significant other is around, ask him/her what 3 words they would use to describe you!)
My picks: Determined, anxious, bubbly
The BF's picks: Fun, beer, kiss
Yeaaaaah, the ALCS (major league baseball) is on right now so I can't get him to pay attention to me for SHIT! He's the biggest dork I know. ;)
Next up, FAWK YOU FRIDAY with Boobies! :)
- Fawk you anxiety. You make my job a real challenge. I get super stressed when I have to wait on the XRay or ECG room to open up when my doctor is waiting on me to freakin' put patients in the rooms.
- Fawk you impatience. I can't stand how slow some of my patients move. For a short girl, I walk really fast and with a lot of pep in my step. Keep up the pace!
- Fawk you bad decisions. Okay, so maybe I made a few when I realized I had this oh so wonderful thing called credit once I turned 18. I'm now paying for it today. :-/
If you guys play, don't forget to link up. Have a fabulous weekend babies!
no regrets just love,
we can dance until we die,
you and I,
we'll be young forever,
you make me feel like I'm living a teenage dream,
the way you turn me on,
I can't sleep,
let's runaway and don't ever look back"
Not only am I quoting Katy Perry's newest super fun and catchy song, but I'm quoting lyrics that remind me of the BF. :) Read along...
Today marks the day of mine and the BF's 2 year anniversary.
2 years ago today, I was prettying myself up for a date that I had no idea would turn into me finding who I consider the love of my life.
He has been my constant, and my calming factor since the day he walked into my life, and for that I couldn't be more grateful.
I've done plenty of things that have maybe shown him that I don't deserve him, but I sure am glad he's put up with me through it all, because I'm sure as hell worth it. ;)
Here are the top TEN things I love about him and/or reasons I'm lucky to have him in my life:
ONE - He's the most patient person I know, which is the polar opposite of myself. Hey, opposites attract, right? ;) He always stays calm, and can calm me down and make me gain a little more patience if he has to (which is a tough feat, but he somehow manages).
TWO - He is super close with his family, and is a definite mama's boy. Now, some may see this as a flaw, but to me, it's a strength. They say a man who knows how to treat his mama, will know how to treat his spouse. It's important to him that his mom & I have a close relationship as well.
THREE - He's very passionate about things he loves. For example, his alma mater is Texas Tech.. if you think you know a real die hard sports fan, well you've never met my boyfriend. ;) He truly believes in his teams and will root for them 'til the day he dies.
FOUR - He's easily amused, like me. One of our favorite things to do is watch re-runs of Seinfeld (which he's always obsessed with) or watch stand up comedy acts on Netflix while we laugh until we cry.
FIVE - He doesn't sugar coat anything. BUT, at the same time, he knows exactly what to say without hurting people's feelings. He's a straight shooter, but such a nice person all at the same time.
SIX - He's one of the smartest people I know. He reads a ton and isn't afraid to admit it for fear that it may make him look like a nerd. He KNOWS he's a nerd. ;) He is very knowledgeable in so many things, and he enlightens me each and every day.
SEVEN - He doesn't necessarily have to tell me "I love you" in order for me to know. He does the best job at showing his love for me. There's not a day that goes by that I question his love for me.
EIGHT - I still feel like we just started dating, in the sense that I still get butterflies when I see his name pop up on my cell, or when he comes to pick me up for a date, I get a little nervous all over again. :)
NINE - He deals with all of my quirks, and actually embraces them. I can be a little hard to handle, but he makes it seem like dealing with me is a breeze!
TEN - Last but not least, he has truly shown me what I want in a man and what love is. All of my past relationships meant nothing compared to what I have now. I'm glad I have the experience though because it's taught me to truly appreciate what I have now. :)
Sorry I got all sappy on you guys, but my heart is so full of love today!
P.S. This computer has utterly PISSED ME OFF!!! It will not let me upload any photos on this post, ughhhh! Sorry guys!
Any weekend that the BF and I come to visit or stay at his parents' place for the weekend, we always go to the "Taqueria" up the street.
They have crazy cheap tacos. Which are delicious and authentic. They also serve FREE pitchers of beer. When the BF and I hear "FREE BEER" we are automatically down to go.
Plus they serve the beer in these chilled, plastic wine type glasses, which makes it much more classier that I'm drinking free beer, right? ;)
Please excuse the mess I have made with the salsa and my limes.
This place also has a live mariachi band every Friday night. They are adorable!
Here's the BF eating, but trying to dance along to the music at the same time. Hence the blurry hand ;)
Funny story - one time, they asked if I had a request, any song I'd like to hear them play. So I reply with, "Well I can't understand what you're saying anyway, so it doesn't matter to me what you play."
The BF said that was rude of me, HA! I wasn't trying to be rude, just saying that I can't understand the spanish songs anyway, so just play me something fast and that I can dance to and I'm happy. :)
Maybe I have a slight issue with not thinking before I speak. ;)
Being the picky eater that I am, I always get the exact same thing. I know that I like it, and I don't want to stray away and possibly order something that I'm not going to want to eat.
I present to you, my carne asada tacos served on corn tortillas (my fave!) loaded with cilantro and onions, delish!
So, a fun time was had by all last night, and I have a headache to prove it today.
2. Today I wish I was off of work earlier so that I could have came to the BF earlier ;)
3. If I had an extra $100 in my bank account today I'd go "jeans shopping". Now that it's fall again, I need more jeans. Okay, maybe I don't, but it's a good excuse :)
4. Tomorrow I will be sleeping in, watching baseball & football with the BF and attending my BF's 10 year high school reunion.
5. Two things that don't go together are hot coffee later in the day. If it's after I get off work, and I want coffee, I'm gonna get it blended or iced.
6. Something I can never pass up at the grocery store is ICE CREAM!
7. The last time I tried something new was oh God, I don't remember.
FORGIVE ME, I've been drinking since dinner.
I'll post tomorrow again, sober :)
Love you all!
My mind and body have been 100% exhausted all week.
It started on Monday night. I woke up around 2:30 am to use the restroom, and couldn't fall back to sleep.
I guess the noisy ass train down the road didn't help matters much.
I finally fell back to sleep around 6 am, only to hear my alarm go off a mere hour later.
I've been trying ever since then to catch up on my beauty sleep, and to no avail.
I'm beginning to think it's impossible to "catch up" on sleep.
Also, is it sad that I was getting accustomed to being a complete lazy ass? This job is wearing me out! Don't get me wrong, I love it. I love staying busy and having absolutely no time to look at the clock. It's definitely something I've got to get used to though.
Thank God today was my half day (no patients on Thursdays) so, maybe I won't be as exhausted tomorrow. :)
This weekend is the BF's high school reunion. Sadly, I think I'm more excited about it than he is. HA!
I told him we have to go to his because my class probably won't even have one because we were so small, so I need to live vicariously though his big class. Am I right?
Anyway, I'm tired, my allergies are kicking my ass and I'm ready to change into my jammies. Good God, I hope I'm not getting sick.
Today, I'm playing Saturday Six with Boobies, Babies & a Blog If you play, don't forget to go back and link up!
You get a million dollars, what's the first thing you buy?
First, I'd play it smart and pay off my damn car.
Now, let me be selfish and just say that I'd buy myself a nice tropical vacation where I have nothing to worry about except for when my next spa treatment is.
What do you consider to be the best things about yourself? (Your best qualities, what you like about yourself etc.)I'm incredibly compassionate. I don't give up on things I truly believe in.
What do you consider to be one of your weaknesses?I don't know if this is considered a weakness, but I'm way too impatient. I also over-analyze and worry to the point of making myself sick.
Have you ever made a scene in public? Elaborate!Oh yes, many times. More times than I'd like to admit, HA! Let me give you a quick peek into my 21st birthday - I don't remember one bit of it, tried making out with everyone in the bar, and was eventually asked to leave once I looked like this:I'm so ashamed. I may be shitty drunk, but at least I look fierce doing it. ;)
Any annoying quirks you possess?I make this weird noise in the back of my throat that for the longest time I thought no one could hear but me. Leave it to my little sister to point out my flaws. It's not too loud, not everyone hears it, but it's there. So odd. It's an OCD thing. Don't judge me.
Are you more aggressive or passive in your personality?I asked the BF for his opinion on this, and he said it depends on if I have alcohol in my system or not, HA! When I am 100% free of beer or margaritas in my blood, I'm more passive I'd say.
