Can I get a "TGIF"?!

It's time for a little "Friday Five"! :)

Play along with me.
Just Me and My Life

1. If you could be on a show (talk show, game show...) which one would you pick?
I can only pick one?! Blasphemy! I'd love to be on Deal or No Deal, Wheel of Fortune ORRR Lingo. Do you see a trend here? I'm addicted to game show network. :)

2. What was your first job?
I was a carhop at Sonic Drive In. I got the job the day I turned 16, and worked there for 4 years. I was bankin'!

3. What's one of your guilty pleasures?
SHOES! Omg, I can barely go into a shoe store without coming out with at least ONE pair. You can never have too many. ;)

4. Would you ever vacation alone?
Hell no! I am not an "alone time" person. I'd be bored outta my mind. I want my friends, family and/or the BF with me at all times. :)

5. Democrat, Republican, or Independent..or maybe even Green Party (whatever that is)?
I am mostly democratic. However, there are some things on the republican side I'm for. It's hard to decide. Plus, I HATE talking about politics. Way too controversial and heated for me. :)

New Friend Fridays

Happy Birthday to MEEE!

Yep, it's my birthday today. I wouldn't say "happy" though. No one should feel the way that I do today on their birthday! Oh well, just means I had a blast last night, I guess. ;)

Today, I'm being featured on GTKY with Keely at Mannland!

Let's play!

Getting to know YOU

1. Thong or Granny Panties?
Thong, all the way! Or boyshorts. :)

2. If you see a guy with his fly down, do you tell him?
If I know him, yes. If he's a stranger, I point it out to my friends so we can laugh about it. Yes, I can be a mean girl. ;)

3. Spanx or no Spanx?
I've never tried it, but I hear they're pretty awesome. I'd give them a shot!

4. Do you sleep in your sheets?
I only have the fitted sheet, and a light comforter and my heavy comforter. I hate that sheet that has no purpose!

5. What is your favorite Disney character?
Ariel from The Little Mermaid! :) I've always wanted to be a mermaid like her.

6. Dream vacation spot?
This one's tough. My first thought was Europe, hands down, but then I thought about how a tropical vacay would be nice too. Hmm, decisions, decisions.

7. What is your dream job?
Pediatrician. It's been my dream since I was 9 years old. I just don't know if I'm going to make it to med school, HA!

8. Who is your hero and why?
I've always hated this question. I never know how to answer it. I know it's cliche', but, I'll say my parents. My mom put up with a lot of shit for us kids, and my dad became the man we never knew he could be.

Now, if you play, go back and link up! :)

I'd love to stay and chat, but I must get back to my 7up and crackers now.

I've obviously been QUITE missed

Now, don't get too excited. My dad still hasn't stepped into the 21st century yet, but since it is the weekend, I am at the BF's place which can only mean one thing....

You dirty minds thought I was going to say something else, didn't ya? ;)

While I was away (which is totally killing me by the way), I received TWO, count 'em, blog awards from two of my favorite girls. Makes me feel all special!

First up, is the Versatile Blogger Award from Brae at
A Glimpse of our Life.

The requirements after winning this award are to list seven things about myself and then pass the award on to some new blogs that I've discovered.

Here we go!

1. I'm addicted to popsicles. I love them all year round, and they have them at work in the freezer. It actually makes me look forward to finishing lunch, so I can have one for dessert. :)

2. I realized why I am deathly terrified of clowns last night. We'll save that for another post though!

3. I walk up and down the household aisles in stores and dream about how I will one day have a house of my own to decorate.

4. I've only broken one bone in my life. Fractured a few, but only fully broke one, which was my collar bone when I was 2 years old. My mom said it was the saddest thing she's ever seen.

5. I'm thoroughly enjoying my externship in the pediatric office. I fall in love with the kids every day! :)

6. I'm a control freak to the fullest, but am totally indecisive at the same time. Contradicting, I know.

7. I like the thrill of scary movies, but I can't watch them because I will literally fear them for weeks after seeing the movie. It's pathetic.

Now, here's seven people who I think deserve this award. :)

I also have to pass the award onto nine bloggers who inspire me.

So there you have it, proof that people have missed me and think I'm fabulous. :)

I have truly been hating that I can't blog. When I got the the BF's last night, the first thing I said was, "I can't wait to blog when we get back from the game." HAHAHA!

We went to the Texas Rangers vs. LA Angels game last night. It was a lot of fun. Too tired to blog once we got back though, so here I am today.

We're celebrating my birthday tonight. Can't wait for that, I will let you all know tomorrow how it goes. Also, there's a slight surprise tomorrow.. so DON'T MISS IT! :)

Pure randomness

Tonight, I'm feeling a little random. I've been on an emotional roller coaster today, so this post, I guess is a little bit of it all!

I did not sleep well at all last night; I had a ton on my mind (school, work, etc.). So needless to say, when my alarm went off this morning, I was NOT in any mood to get out of bed. I drug myself out of bed, took a quick shower, threw on whatever was on my closet floor and headed into my last day of work.

It flew by, of course, and my boss ended up making me a cake and had everyone go ahead and sing happy birthday to me (since it's coming up) and it was really sweet. At the end of the day, I was helping her pack up supplies, and my arm scraped across the edge of the cardboard box. OUCH!!! Hurt like hell. Ever had a cardboard burn?! Waaay worse than a paper cut. :(

When it was time to go (which I got off early, woo hoo!) my boss broke down. (she's not just my boss, she's been like a mother to me these past 2 years) and we started crying and hugging, and all that good-bye mess that no one likes to deal with.

I came home and was determined to get all that I could by myself loaded into my car and moved over to my dad's, so that when the boys come to move my furniture, that's all they have to do. I don't want it to take all day because we have a bunch of little stuff.

I stuffed the trunk of my car and the backseat too, all by myself. I live on the 2nd floor. So that's down the hall, a flight of stairs, across the parking lot - all in 100 degree heat. I swear to God I was going to have a heatstroke if I moved one more thing. I probably lost like 18 pounds today!

I get to my dad's and he helps me unload, and I decided just to hang there until I had to head to class to take my LAST exams (it flew by!) because he lives closer to the school than I do. So, my little sister helped me study for my terminology test until it was time to go. My theory test was open-note, and I am ALMOST to class when I realize I forgot my notes. UGH! I was pissed. So, yes, I was late to class, and I hate being late. I just feel like it screws everything up.

That was emotional too. My classmates are like my family. We have been spending every night together for the past 7 months. We've gotten extremely close, and it's going to be a dramatic change not seeing them every night anymore.

My doctor also called me today with some test results, that were not good. But I was expecting it (will go into more later). Very frustrating and disappointing. I really wanted to see the BF after class tonight, but Thursday night is "guy's night" with his bff/roomie. So I didn't say anything until later when he was already out. I didn't want to ruin the night. Well, apparently that upset him. He said I need to communicate with him and he was frustrated that I didn't let him know that he needed me.

That didn't make me feel good. I wasn't intentionally trying to hurt his feelings or not communicate, I was taking his plans into consideration, ya know? So, that was upsetting too.

I'm just hoping to get some sleep tonight, and since I am officially" unemployed", I will be able to sleep in tomorrow until I have to get up and start moving again. :(

I did take a Vicodin (toothache) because they do help me get very sleepy, and well, because I'm moving I'm trying to finish off food and whatnot in the fridge so I don't have a lot to take over, so I got a beer outta the fridge. Alcohol+Vicodin=SUPER LOOPY! My eyes are heavy, HA!

Sorry guys, I know this post wasn't very entertaining, but if you read it, thanks. I just mainly wrote it because writing usually helps me feel better especially when I've had a bummer kinda day. :)

I've made a decision..

This past month or so, I've been more stressed than normal. Let's face it. I was born stressed, it's just my nature, but it's been taken to a whole different level these past days. I've noticed, but I guess I've kind of ignored that it's getting worse. I'm in stress denial.

The smack back to reality happened this past weekend.

I was having one of my little meltdowns, being an emotional little bitch and crying about all the changes that are coming about. The BF was being ever so patient with me (like always) but then he told me that I'm letting my stressors consume my life.

He said that I'm allowing all of the stress from school, work, moving consume my life and it's affecting the growth in our relationship.

Being the debbie downer that I try so hard not to be, I immediately had it in my head that he didn't want to be with me anymore, so the waterworks came faster.

These were the BF's exact words,
"No babe, I am not leaving you. I want to be with you because I love you. All I'm saying is we can't grow in our relationship when you're stressed like this. Everything is fine, but things could be MORE fine if you'd just breathe."

I stopped to think about those words for a minute, and it hit me.. if he didn't care about me, he wouldn't have cared enough to say that. He obviously wants to grow/take the next step in our relationship, but I can't focus on it right now.

I was very upset with myself, and vowed to the BF and myself that I would try better to control my anxiety and stress, and not let it affect the GOOD things in my life.

Now I'm not super religious or anything; I don't attend church on a regular basis. I'm what the BF likes to calls a C&E church go-er. (Christmas & Easter), but I do believe there is a God, a higher power than myself who controls all.

My mom has told me that I need to hand my life over to God. I need to stop trying to control it myself, and let the big guy do it Himself. Here's the thing though, I'm a bit of a control freak. Shocking, I know! And even though I know in the back of my mind that I do NOT have complete control, I still want that control, ya know?

I'm trying really hard to let God handle my life, and not to let the little things freak me out, so keep me in your thoughts. This is going to be a big task for me!

I know this seems so little, but it's big for me! This morning I was on my way out of my apartment to go to work, and I had 2 plastic bowls with chip dip I had made for my classmates in them. Well, since they were all slippery from the condensation from the fridge, one slipped out of my hands, and when it landed on the concrete ground, the plastic completed busted. French onion dip oozing all over the place!

Now normally, I would flip out. Something this small would cause me to have a bitch fit. You would hear all sorts of explicits, and I'd slam things around. However, this morning I decided not to let something so little start my day off horribly. So instead of cursing the world, I took a deep breath, picked up the bowl and safely sat it in my car as not to make a mess until I could get to work to transfer the rest of it to an intact bowl. :)

Yay me! :)

It's official...!

I got the externship position at the pediatrics office!!! :) I've been doing a happy dance ever since I left the office.

I left a little early since I hadn't been there before, and I wanted to get there, park and get in there a few minutes early. It ended up being in this huge parking garage/lot with TONS of buildings, and I was freaking out because I tend to be directionally challenged. I did end up making it on time though.

Walking into the front door to the doctor's office put a smile on my face. It was so colorful, bright and had tons of fun things. One wall was a huge fish tank with brightly colored fish and the walls were decorated with Disney posters and whatnot. All the sweet babies in the waiting room were so precious! Seriously, how can you NOT be happy in a pediatrician's office?!

I sat and watched sweet babies play with each other until I was called back by the head nurse for my "interview".

We sat in one of the exam rooms and she just asked me some questions about when I needed to start, and if I needed full-time or part-time. She let me know how the office works, when they start seeing patients and when they stop seeing patients. She also let me know that they do not do venipuncture in the office, but they do plenty of heel sticks, finger pricks and injections. She assured me that I'd get plenty of hands-on experience. Very exciting!

She did say for the first week I have to wear my school scrubs so that way everyone around the office will be acquainted with me, then after that I can wear any scrubs that I would like.

They also don't mind if I wear my crocs. I know, I know - ugliest shoes ever, but I can't help the fact that they are RIDICULOUSLY comfortable! Awful, I know. This is a nice change because at school we can't wear them. Something about what if a needle falls and goes through one of the holes.. what are the odds of that happening?! Slim to none, I tell ya!

She did ask that I not wear my nose ring (yes, I have my nose pierced, sorry if you don't like it!) I immediately felt bad because I meant to take it out before I went into the interview. She said it was okay and she thought it was cute, but in pediatrics, the parents don't always like it. Totally understandable! I've had it done for long enough that leaving it out all day won't close it up.

So, I just have to get through the rest of this week at school, tomorrow is our senior assembly, which means a blow off day. :) Then, on Thursday I show up long enough to take my exams, and I will be an MA starting on Monday! I am ecstatic.

Alone or not alone?

The BF and I always disagree on this subject I'm going to talk about today.

Doing things by yourself, or with people.. no matter what it is.

For me, being alone is HORRIBLE! I have always hated it, since I was a kid. I've always gotta have someone with me. Even if I'm just running to get some food or get gas in my car, I'd much rather have someone with me.

It's actually kind of pathetic and a tad bit embarrassing.

For example - yesterday afternoon I wanted to go down to the pool, but not by myself of course. That would make me look like a loser, right?! Well, the BF wanted to finish watching the soccer game before he went down, UGH, but I wanna go now! So I moped about and tried to guilt him into going with me, and he wasn't having it. So, off I go to the pool by myself.

As I'm laying there all by my little lonesome, I feel like everyone out at the pool is staring at me and thinking,
"Poor girl probably doesn't have any friends, that's why she's all by herself."

I think they are looking at me and thinking this because this is what I think when I see people by themselves. Horrible, I know.

The BF and I will go out to eat, or to a bar for a drink, and if I see someone sitting all alone, I immediately feel sorry for them and want to invite them to come sit with us. The BF tells me to leave them alone, some people actually enjoy alone time.

I can not fathom someone enjoying being by themselves! It just makes absolutely no sense to me.

The reason this subject came up again is because yesterday when the BF finally joined me at the pool, (which made me ridiculously happy that I was no longer alone), we were lounging and this kid came floating by us with his little toys just happily playing by himself.

My first thought is
"Where are his parents?" I know, I know, I'm going to be one of those paranoid mothers who won't let her children leave her side for fear of something horrible happening to them.

The BF's first thought is,
"He is an only child." How does he do that?! (he's extremely good at reading people).

I then asked him why he thought the kid was an only child, and he proceeded to tell me it was because he was playing so well all by himself. He didn't need any other kids or even his parents to keep him happy. He had his floaties and water guns, and that was all he needed.

You see, the BF is an only child. (okay, not technically, he does have a half brother & 2 step brothers, but since they are so much different in age and didn't "grow up" together, he's basically an only child, get it?)

We decided this is why he's okay with being alone. He will go out to eat by himself, go out to the pool by himself, go to the store alone, everything! He is totally okay with it, and has never understood why I always want someone with me.

The final verdict: The BF enjoys alone time because he grew up that way, he was forced to find ways to entertain himself because he was an only child. I, on the other hand, do NOT enjoy alone time, because my little sister is so close to me in age that we were forced to play with one another even when we didn't want to. I always had someone with me even when I didn't want someone around.

Nice psychology lesson, huh? ;) The BF and I enjoy picking things apart and finding out why things are the way that they are.

You guys tell me your thoughts on this. Are you an only child or do you have siblings? And, how do you feel about your alone time?

***On a side note, I have a calendar called "Wild Words from Wild Women" and each day has a quote from a noted woman in history. Today's quote is...

"I had to pretend I didn't know how to iron or I'd never have written anything at all."

I thought it was very cute and fitting for a lot of us woman bloggers. ;)

GTKY Lazy Sunday

While I wait for my lunch to settle in my tummy so that I don't look too ridiculously bloated in my swimsuit at the pool, I shall play Getting To Know You with Keely at Mannland.

The rules are simple.. you answer the questions, and head back to her blog and link up.

Wanna play?

Let's go!

Getting to know YOU

1. What is YOUR definition of sexy?
I know I probably won't be the first person to say this, but CONFIDENCE is key. However, keep in mind that there is a fine line between confidence and arrogance.

2. Would you rather clean up puke or change a poopy diaper?
Hmm, neither really bother me. I don't have a weak stomach, and don't really have a gag reflex either, HA!

3. Are you an introvert or an extrovert?
I am an introvert when I first meet someone. Once you get to know me, and I start to feel comfortable with you, I'm a total extrovert! :)

4. If you had to give up one of your 5 senses for a year, which one would you give up?
This is a tough one! Definitely not my sight or hearing. I'm going to go with either taste or smell. Maybe I'd eat healthier. ;)

5. Cake or Pie?
My favorite dessert is cheesecake and even though it has the word "cake" in it, I consider it a pie. So, you decide!

6. If you could play any character on TV (old or current) who would you play?
Does my answer have to be a TV character or can it be a movie character? I'm going to play by my rules and say Reese Witherspoon's character Elle from Legally Blonde. I adore that movie and think she is too cute! I love that she's girly and fun but still intelligent. :)

7. My favorite website is....?
I have a few that I read on a daily basis. I'll just say that I am totally addicted to catching up on all of your blogs, so I'm obviously on blogger a lot, and if I paid as much attention to other things as I did facebook, I'd be doing a lot better in life, HA! ;)

8. The highlight of my day is....?
During the week, honestly, it's getting off of work and heading to school. Sounds weird I know, but I truly enjoy school. I love learning, and I have made some of the best friends there too with my classmates.

I still don't feel like my food is digested enough for me to put on my swimsuit which is a damn shame because it's so bright and sunny outside and God knows I need to work on my tan!

The BF just got behind my computer and put his face above my laptop screen and proceeded to say in his girliest voice, "Dear Diaryyyy".

Ummm, is he making fun of me for blogging?! Oh no he didn't! I told him he better quit or all of my blogger friends will know about it, HA! ;) So there ya go.

Hope you guys have had a very happy weekend.

Thank God it's Friday!!! :)

1. What is one food you could eat everyday?Pasta or caesar salad. I'm a foodie. Anything that tastes good, I could eat everyday!

2. Are you working in the career you thought you would be when you were 18?
Well, close. I thought I'd already be a nurse by now, but instead I am almost a medical assistant with plans to go back to nursing school in the spring. Close enough right?!
3. What is something that you wish you would have done when you were younger and you didn't?Good question. I feel like I had good childhood/adolescent years. I'll come back to ya on that one! ;)

4. What color are your kitchen walls?
White or off-white. I live in an apartment, which means I don't get to paint them. :( I can't wait to have a house to decorate one day! :)
5. Do you remember what your very first favorite song was?EVER? Like as a baby? No. As a kid? I'm sure it was Spice Girls. I was OBSESSED. It was kinda sick, HA!

New Friend Fridays

I hope you guys have a fabulous weekend! :)

Thursday Five (today only feels like Wednesday!)

Happy "day before Friday" bloggers! :) Today, I'm playing Thursday Five with Keely @ Mannland.

Thursday Five

To play, all you have to do is list 5 things that make you:

Then you go back to her blog, and link up! Ready to play?!

Let's go! :)
1. One of my favorite co-workers brought me a delicious coffee to work this morning. Caffeine=happiness!
2. I am getting so close to finishing school that I can taste it! The happiness of this is that I won't be going NON-STOP during the day anymore, and I'll have an enjoyable job.
3. My birthday is coming up, and I am so excited to see all my friends that I haven't seen in a while due to busy-ness at my celebratory dinner!!
4. It's been rainy, which makes me sleepy (no happiness) but it sure helps with the heat and humidity.
5. I'm having a good hair day for the first day this week, FINALLY! This makes me very happy. :)

So many changes are going on in my life here in the next couple of weeks, which is definitely upping the anxiety. I'm quitting my job, finishing school, starting my externship and moving in with my dad and little sister.

That's 4 changes, people!!!

I have never been very good at accepting change. If it's one thing, maybe, but 4?! I just don't know how I'm going to handle this.

**SIDE NOTE** I just received a call from my extern coordinator at school, and a pediatric office here in Dallas wants me to come in for an interview!!! :) I am SO happy right now. Everyone keep your fingers crossed for me!

Happy Tuesday! :)

Good morning my lovely blog followers! :) I guess I'm overly happy today because although it feels like a Monday, it's already Tuesday! (yesterday was a work/school holiday for me).

Since I was such a horrible blogger this weekend, I'll go ahead and update you guys on what's been going on this past week/weekend. Here we go!

Wednesday night, I went over to the BF's after class to stay with him since his birthday was on Thursday, and I had a vacation day at work to use. We watched movies and had fun, slept in, went and grabbed lunch the next morning before I had a doctor's appointment. It was funny because the place where we had lunch, (which I refused to let him pay for even though he kept trying, it's his birthday!) had a sign on the table that if you show your ID on your birthday, you get a free sandwich. He felt bad, but oh well, it was already paid for! :)

Here we are on his birthday - so sweet!

Before I tell you about Friday night, let me tell you about VERY EARLY Friday morning. The night before, the BF and a few of his friends went out for his birthday. Around 4:30 am, I get a call from Fish (not her real name, a nickname) and being the pessimist that I am, I assume something bad happened. A) that's just the way I think. B) she sounded like she was crying. I immediately was wide awake. Luckily, all she needed was a ride to the airport since my lovely boyfriend and his friends were too drunk to take her, HA!

Now, back to Friday night. I headed over to the BF's place so we could meet his parents for his traditional birthday dinner they take us to each year. Well, because he was moving so slow that day, he wasn't ready when I got there, so I headed upstairs to help him finish getting his things together. He asked if it was raining when I got there. I let him know it was drizzling a bit, maybe sprinkles but not bad. As we're walking down the stairs to go to his car, it's like the sky just opened up and all the rain that has been sitting in the clouds for who knows how long just came down all at once! Couldn't we have just left 2 minutes earlier?! We stood there for a few minutes to see if it would let up, no such luck. So, needless to say, we were both drenched by the time we got in the car with our things. I was pissed. I mean, I was having a great hair day, wearing my favorite heels that I just got back from getting resoled, AND I was wearing my nicest jeans. C'mon!

We got to dinner, and his parents were already feeling pretty good, HA! So we order our drinks, and sit down for dinner, which was ridiculously expensive, but oh so delicious! I had the filet mignon, cooked medium, with smashed garlic potatoes. I also had a mango martini and we had red wine with dinner. (sorry I can't remember the name) Afterwards, the waitress brings over this HUGE brownie ice cream dessert thingy which embarrassed the hell out of the BF, but his mom insisted. It was so delicious!

Here's the BF sarcastically eating the ginormous brownie -

We just headed back to his parents' place for more fun and drinking with everyone in the neighborhood.

Here's a random pic of me and his mom's dog, JJ this weekend - I just love this little doggy SO much! :)
Saturday, during the day, the BF's mom took us shoe shopping for our birthdays. And here are the super fab shoes I got. The BF actually helped pick them out. Good taste, huh? :)

We also went and upgraded his phone because he had a credit that was sitting there. Let me tell you something about my BF, he's very old-fashioned and a creature of habit. Once he's used to something, he sees no need in changing it.

This is the phone he's had since I met him -

He finally stepped foot into the 21st century and upgraded to a blackberry! I was so excited. I was teaching him all about BBM (blackberry messenger) and all of the other tricks I know. He was so cute trying to figure it all out. :)

All in all, we had a great weekend, and I wish I could have more 3-4 weekends! How was your weekend? Tell me what you did for the holiday! :)

By the way, here are the blog-hops I'm participating in today. Go ahead and check them out!

Tuesday Tag-Along

Getting To Know You!

Right now, I'm just going to participate in Mannland's GTKY Sunday. I promise tomorrow I will update you guys on my faaabulous weekend. :)

Getting to know YOU

To play, you just answer the questions, and go back to her blog and link up!

Let's play!

1. What do you look forward to most on the 4th of July?
Having a paid holiday off of work, HA! How pathetic. No, seriously, I love how patriotic everyone gets, and the fireworks. For whatever reason, my eyes gravitate towards sparkly things. :)

2. Are you a hugger?
Okay, I'm on the fence on this one. When it comes to friends, the BF, my family - I will hug you too many times in a day! However, if I don't know you or it's my first time meeting you, PLEASE don't hug me. I very much so enjoy my personal space with people I don't know too well.

3. What is your favorite BBQ'd food?
As in something that contains BBQ sauce? I'm going to go with brisket! Yummy smoked brisket. Great, now I'm salivating..

4. Do you like to watch parades?
No, they bore the hell out of me. In high school, when I was a cheerleader, we would participate in the community parade, which was fun. I always felt for the people who had to watch though. Very boring!

5. Who has stinkier farts, boys or girls?
Well, it all depends on what you eat. ;) Ha, I don't mean to get all technical. I'm going to say boys because girls are way too pretty for stinky farts. ;)

6. Vampires or Werewolves?
Neither. I am SO sorry. I love every single one of you Twilight freaks, but I have never understood the obsession. However, I have never tried to read the books or watch the movies because I know I will get sucked in and fall in love with a fictional character. I have too much on my plate to deal with that. The BF actually told me today that he loves me more because I am not obsessed with vampires like other girls are, HA! ;)

7. Do you read your horoscope?
Religiously. I do not live my life by it though. However, I will say that I am the typical leo. *rawr*! ;)

8. What is your favorite flavor of ice cream?
Mint chocolate chip, yum-o! What's up with all these food questions? I am also a fan of sherbert, but apparently it has more fat content than actual ice cream does. What a bummer!

Five ? Friday & Friday Follows :)

I am SO sorry I'm just now updating. I feel so bad for missing you guys! Yesterday was the BF's birthday, so I spent my day with him up until my dreaded doctor's appointment and then I had class. So anyway!

I have been finding more things to do on my blog for certain days of the week, and I LOVE it! :) So, today I'm doing "Five Question Friday" with Andrea from Five Crooked Halos. You just answer the 5 questions, and go back to her blog and link up! Ready?

Here we go!

1. What is one thing you miss the most about childhood?
Honestly, not having as much responsibility as I have now. When my only worry in life was which color popsicle I wanted that day.

2. Are you still friends with your friends from high school?
Some of them, yes. A lot of my friends from high school are already married and/or having babies.

3. Is there a catch phrase, cliche, or word that just drives you bonkers every time you hear it?
Oh yes. I get annoyed by words easily. The most gross word in the English language is "moist". I want to gag just typing it out! It just sounds sick.

4. What is one thing that you think symbolizes America...besides "Old Glory"?
The colors red, white and blue. Of course! ;) When I think of the military, I seem to think of our country. I know every country has a military of their own, but America really sticks to mind.

5. What are your 4th of July weekend plans?
Friday - birthday dinner for the BF with his sweet family.
Saturday - either a BBQ with the BF's co-workers or louging by the pool all day and workin' on my tan. ;)
Sunday - hopefully catching a fireworks show somewhere
Monday - no work or class!!! :)

I'm also participating in New Friend Fridays with The Girl Creative and The Trendy Treehouse. And Friday Follow-Me hosted by The Kiddie Fashionista, Momma's Pixie Dreams and My Crazy Kind of Wonderful.
